Was Dry January Worth It?

Last year (2016) 7.8 million people admitted to 'binging' on alcohol. Instead of drinking within moderation, the population chose drinking large amounts in single sessions, a practice which can result in short and long-term health issues.

Recent years has seen the increase of popularity in taking part in ‘Dry January’ where people give up alcoholic beverages and sometimes combine it with raising money for charity. But is it worth it?
